Huawei Y9 2018 Review
Design & Display
Huawei Y9 2018 comes with a Slim aluminum metal body. It has a very comfortable grip and has an elegant outlook. The display is a 5.93″ huge one. Full-View design and Full HD+ quality will support much more comfortable gaming, internet browsing and video playback. The IPS LCD technology is durable and easier on the eyes.
Camera & Video
This phone has the same cameras as Huawei’s previous success Nova 2i. Both front and back camera will provide excellent shots that you would expect from a mid to high-mid budget smartphone. Both of them are dual cameras. Two cameras will merge to process much clearer, brighter shots with more details and depth.
Network, Battery & Overall Performance
4G LTE support will let you get the best out of your network. If your mobile operator is providing a fast 4G connection in your area, this phone will give you full support for it. The 4000 mAh battery is a charm. It is not over the top since the display is quite big and bigger displays usually consume much more energy. But it should still support 1 to 1.5 days for intensive users. Overall performance is absolutely alright with octa-core CPU, 3 GB RAM and Huawei’s special HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset.
Others
There is face unlock and fingerprint sensor for ensuring better security. OTG is another useful feature. The device runs on Android’s latest version Oreo 8.0 with most recent security update and optimizations. Dual SIM is supported.
Disadvantages
There is no display protection such as Corning Gorilla Glass and to an extra slot for MicroSD card. You need to use the second SIM slot for added MicroSD card in case the 32 GB ROM is not enough for you. So either you can have 2 SIMs or more than 32 GB internal space.
