If you are looking for your first 4K projector, LG’s award-winning CineBeam is on sale Black Friday save up to $500

If you’ve been thinking about setting up your first home theater or mancave, or if you’ve just wanted to upgrade your existing setup with a modern 4K projector, LG’s new CineBeam 4K UltraHD projector (LG HU80KA) has the performance you need, a design you’ll want, and a Black Friday discount you’re going to love. From November 18 to November 25, you’ll be able to get this usually $2,999 4K projector for $500 off, bringing the already compelling price down to $2,499. For a 4K resolution, 150” screen as large as the CineBeam can offer, that price is virtually unbeatable.

The LG CineBeam Projector came out earlier this year offering a stunning minimalist design that paired portability and functionality into one award-winning package. The projector is the winner of CES’s Best of Innovation 2018 award, reddot’s Design Award 2018, and the iF Design Award 2018.

A design for ease of use and portability
The LG CineBeam 4K projector didn’t just win these design awards because it looks good with its simple square column design that can easily be stowed away next to other furniture. Key to its great design is the considerations made for ease of use and portability.

There’s a handle built onto the projector frame making it easy to carry when you want to move it around the house or bring it to other locations. And, since it only weighs 14.8 pounds, it won’t be too hard to tote. The power cord is also built into the projector with an automatic reel, so you can easily bundle up the cord when you need to move the CineBeam.

Given the versatility of the CineBeam, you’ll likely be taking advantage of the portable design as well. It has a transforming design, with four options for how you can set it up. A mirror lets you stand the projector vertically but reflect the image onto the wall ahead of you without having to worry about mounting the CineBeam somewhere high. You can also fold away the mirror and aim the projector directly at the ceiling. It can also be used like a standard projector either mounted low and shining upward toward the wall or mounted on ceiling and aimed slightly downward. The auto-keystone can correctly shift the image to keep the picture nicely lined up.

Of course, it’s not enough for a projector to simply be convenient and have a nice looking design. The images it projects also have to look good, and the LG CineBeam has plenty to offer in that department as well. While you could set up the CineBeam to project a simple 40-inch image, that would severely miss out on its potential. The CineBeam is ready to cast a stunning 150-inch 4K image at a bright 2,500 lumens. We can tell you this much: you won’t be getting a 150-inch 4K TV for $2,499 any time soon.

That bright 4K image is projected using laser light. This is different than the typical light bulb you might have seen used in other types of projectors. The big advantage here is that you’ll get an incredible long life out of the projector, with up to 20,000 hours of use. For a clearer idea of how long that is, you could watch a 2-hour movie every day for 28 years. And, over the course of your use, you should see minimal reduction to the maximum brightness.
