Huawei Nova 2i (Bangladesh) has been an important release from Huawei at the end of 2017. It is more known as Huawei Mate 10 Lite in the global market. The phone is also known as Nova2i (Malaysia), Huawei Maimang 6 (China), Huawei Honor 9i (India) and Huawei G10. Part of the “think global, act local” mindset, Huawei is trying to localise their releases as much as they can with custom local campaigns. With this release, they have gained a more leading position in Bangladeshi smartphone market. The face of Huawei Bangladesh national celebrity Shakib Al-Hasan was involved in the major marketing campaigns for this gadget. Not only the marketing but Nova 2i could get instant attention also because of its highly appealing design, specs and pricing.
Design & Display
Slim aluminum metal body, large 5.9-inch Full HD+ display with full-view design gives this phone an elegant premium outlook and fabulous first impression. Because of 18:9 display ratio, it is not as big as you may imagine for a 5.9″ display size phone. The screen to body ratio is 76.5%. So, it is slightly smaller than a traditional smartphone with a real home button at the bottom.
Camera & Video
Its high-quality dual front and back camera can be used well for clean and bright photography. The shots will be bright in daylight with a bit of softness. They are also more than decent for the night or low light captures. Full HD video recording and playback are there as expected.
Network, Battery & Overall Performance
4G LTE is supported to offer highest internet speed for Bangladeshi users in 2018 and on. Battery performance is satisfactory and can provide one and half day of backup for busy smartphone users. It is offering surprisingly good performance for a mid-budget smartphone with octa-core CPU and 4 GB RAM. Mali T820 GPU will ensure fast gaming experience even with the newest high-quality HD games.
Others
The fingerprint sensor and OTG are some of Nova 2i’s other mentionable highlights. Overall, this is a prime choice for mid-budget customers in Bangladesh.
Disadvantages
No display protection such as Corning Gorilla Glass.
